The Laptop/Cellphone Private Investigator

Previously I wrote about the field of Private Investigations being the perfect, self-reliant career. Some PIs choose a career route that keeps them working for a small Private Investigation agency while others want to develop a large, full service agency that hires investigators of various specialties. I am going to describe the path that many Private Investigators take – the Laptop PI. He is the lone wolf of the Private Investigation industry.

The Laptop PI is an investigator who prefers to work alone; he is only connected to others in the industry for purposes of receiving cases, trading cases and keeping up on technological trends in the business. He has two offices the car and the home den. He would never buy an immobile desktop, as his laptop and Internet access cell phone act as a mobile office.

The laptop PI discrete. He has his residence in a trust, his utilities are not in his name, his cell phone is paid in person with cash every month and the billing address is a mailbox company. He has no intention of ever getting a landline phone. His new Internet Air Card now gives him the freedom to do business anywhere. No more looking for hotspots. None of the lowlife characters of cases past will be able to track him down.

His clients include individuals in other PI agencies, several attorneys and a few wronged husbands and wives. Hard-to-solve cases are always on his mind and a new tactic may come to his attention day or night, while at work or play.

Because the Laptop PI has very little overhead, he can clear up his cases and take time off several times a year. The work always starts back up when he returns. His major expenses are his cell phone, Internet Air Card, insurance and license renewal fees. The rat race is not for him.

Consider a career where the expenses are low, the profit substantial and the freedom non-negotiable!

Making Your Video Ad Unique

Creating online advertisements that stand out is the goal of online advertising, but traditional ads often fail to grab the attention of the public. Video ads on the other hand, are proven attention getters, and for small business owners on a budget, making one doesnt require anything other than a video camera, video editing software and some creativity.

Many larger companies, including Ford, are now creating exclusive, online only ads and commercials. Other companies are using their B rolls from commercials to create new ads, and still others, particularly small businesses are opting for the traditional approach”a video camera, some video editing software, and catchy graphics and music. Even if your video ad is a quick interview with your small business owners, along with an explanation of the products and services that you offer, you can still make it eye catching and engaging.

When in doubt, always try to make your online ads entertaining and humorous. Many companies have found success with quirky off beat approaches, so expand your creativity and look for a unique advertising angle. Online videos are meant to be short, memorable, and to the point, so dont get discouraged if it takes you a while to find a formula that works for you. Creating a successful video advertisement takes time, but the results will be well worth it.

Try to streamline your video for one specific product or service. By streamlining it you will make it more memorable to your audience. This will also help with branding as well either for your company or or that particular product or service.

Video advertisements are the most effective way to create a lasting impression on your audience. They are the online version of a TV commercial, a targeted audience and one big difference is that they have a replay capability. Your animated video can simply be integrated into your website or posted in other areas of the web but it needs to be memorable to make a difference.

The Laptop Private Investigator

My last article was about choosing a self-reliant career in the field of Private Investigations. In this article I would like to outline the route that most Private Investigators take after finishing their internship or gaining a few years of experience. Some investigators prefer to work for an agency, obtaining steady work and not worrying about administrative tasks such as bookkeeping or knocking on doors to market clients. Other investigators dream of launching a large agency that hires investigators of various specialties and offers every kind of investigative service imaginable to its clients. Today I am going to focus on the Laptop PI, the lone wolf of the Private Investigation world.

The Laptop Private Investigator prefers to work alone or with a tight group of alliances. His office is both his car and his den at home. Forget the immobile desktop computer; his laptop and Internet access cell phone get the job done from anywhere in the world.

The Laptop Private Investigator usually takes what seems like excessive measures to remain off the radar screen. His residence is in a trust, his name is not attached to his utilities billing, he pays his cell phone bill in person every month and has no landline phone. His laptop has an “Internet Air Card” which allows him to do business from anywhere. In all public and government databases it looks like he ceased to exist 10 years ago.

He does a good business with several attorneys, a string of wronged husbands or wives, professional suers, and occasionally he subcontracts for PI agencies. His mind is always on his cases as the solution or an ingenuous new direction always comes to him in his off time.

Download Videos To iPhone and Watch Them At Your Convenience

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to download videos to iPhone? Imagine getting to watch your favorite videos again and again wherever you are. No need to hook yourself in front of your PC all day long. By downloading videos to your iPhone, you can have a grand time watching videos wherever you are.

It is not surprising to see people going gaga over Apple’s baby. The iPhone comes with many features, after all. Yes, it’s more than just your ordinary mobile phone. Your iPhone allows you to surf the internet, listen to music, play games, and watch your favorite videos, too. It’s like hitting many birds with one stone.

You can find a wide collection of iPhone video downloads from Apple’s iTunes store itself. However, before you can download anything from iTunes, you must have an account with iTunes first. Setting up an account is fast and easy, even for beginners like you.

Once you have registered, you will be asked to download the iTunes software. Downloading this software is a must as it enables you to make video downloads to your iPhone. Without this software, you will not be able to transfer the files from the internet to your PC, thus even if you sync your iPhone to your PC, your iPhone will fail to copy the video files.

If you want other places to download videos from, try YouTube. YouTube is, by and large, one of the most popular, if not the most popular, video sharing sites. Before you can download from YouTube, you must install the YouTube to iPhone converter first. The software doesn’t cost a thing, and it doesn’t contain viruses and spyware applications.

Assuming you have already done that, you can now add your favorite YouTube video links. Then choose a location where you wish to store the downloaded video files and convert the files to MP3 or MP4 format. Now, open your iTunes library and drag the converted files into it. The files will then be copied to your iPhone when you hook your iPhone to your PC.

It is rather unfortunate that you cannot directly copy videos from the internet to your iPhone yet; but perhaps, in the future, this will no longer be impossible.
