Visiting Florida’s Top Theme Parks

When it comes to visiting Florida, you just can’t go wrong if you take in one of their many theme parks. Whether you’re seeking thrill rides, an African expedition, or dips into the aquatic world, you won’t be disappointed by what Florida has to offer.

Of course, Disneyworld is the largest and most visited resort and theme park in the world. Not just one park, the resort offers two water parks, four theme parks, and twenty-three hotels. Despite popular belief that Diensyworld is located in Orlando, it is actually located in its own town of Lake Buena Vista.

Of the four theme parks that help make up Disneyworld, there are Epcot Center, Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and the Magic Kingdom. It is the Magic Kingdom that most people associate with Disneyworld since it is the park that has the “It’s a Small World” ride and the Cinderella castle.

Dedicated to scientific innovations and cultural diversity, Epcot Center is the place to go when you want to see what the world might look like in 50 years or explore other countries. The World Showcase area has attractions devoted to France, Japan, the USA, Italy, China, Norway, Mexico, Canada, the U.K., and Morocco.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, guests can visit a 500-acre theme park devoted to different types of animals. They even have a musical based on “The Lion King.”

Universal Studios is also a fun place to visit in Florida. It is currently the 5th most visited theme park in the United Sates. At Universal studios, guests are inspired to “ride the movies.”

Unlike the Universal Studios in Los Angeles, which is a working studio, the Florida park was designed to be a theme park and movie studio from its conception. Guests cannot only view, but experience many movie attractions, such as going out on a boat and being “chased” by Jaws himself.

Another fun attraction is the Universal Horror’s Makeup Show where guests are able to watch how horror movie special effects are created. There is even a ride based on the movie “Twister” where guests can ride out a make believe tornado.

Busch-Gardens is another exciting theme park in Florida. It is located in Tampa and has more than 2700 animals. The park has different areas including the Land of the Dragons, the Bird Gardens, Morocco, Crown Colony, Nairobi, Timbuktu, the Congo, Egypt, Jungala, and Stanleyville. In these areas, guests to the park can see such animals as hyenas, gorillas, cheetahs, giraffes, impalas, ostriches, rhinos, elephants, chimpanzees, cranes, storks, gazelles, and more.

Aside from animals, Busch Gardens also has several rides, including the SheiKra, a vertical dive coaster. In Egypt, visitors can ride on Montu, a steel roller coaster with 7 inversions.

Another hugely popular theme park in Florida is SeaWorld, located in Orlando. At this theme park, guests are able to view and interact with marine life such as dolphins, manatees, stingrays, and whales. The Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales can also be visited at the Clydesdale Hamlet.

SeaWorld also has live shows featuring their animal stars and a place for children. The Waterfront, the park’s newest attraction, even has a replica of a Mediterranean village.

There are many things to see and do at Florida’s theme parks, and you could spend virtually a month trying to fit everything in. No matter what your style or what you want to see, there is something for everyone.
